As a beta-stage user of Otter Academics, I agree that:

1. I am 18 years of age or older.
2. My data will be stored for the following purposes:
   1. To provide the service
   2. To improve the service
3. I will only use the service for the intended purpose (analysis of student results)
4. I will not use the service for any other purpose
5. I will not share my account and access information with any third parties
6. At any time, I may revoke my consent. This will discontinue my access to the service
7. My usage is bound by the laws of England and Wales

Pursuant to 2a above, I agree to be contacted periodically for usage and feedback to improve the service.

By uploading data to our system, you the user confirm that you have the following:

• A lawful basis to process the data
• The right to obtain that data
• The right to process that data
• Confirmed that the data is accurate and up to date

Otter Academics allows you to process your data, but you need to understand that as the user you retain ownership and control of the data. The processing on our platform, enabled by Otter Academics, is initiated and controlled by you the user.

Out of an overabundance of caution, both uploaded data and prepared reports are deleted every night at midnight, UK time.

We do not keep or process any identifiable data relating to students updated by you in any way. If you would ever like to requst a copy of all your data or to invoke your right to be forgotten, please contact admin@otter-academics.com

We use tracking technologies to collect data on how visitors interact with our website. This information helps us analyze trends, improve user experience, and enhance our services. You have the right to request access to the data we have collected about your usage at any time, and it is all made visible on the Activity Log page.

We partner with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to capture how you use and interact with our website. Google Analytics helps us understand website traffic and user behavior, while Microsoft Clarity provides behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. Otter Academics is designed to make a teacher's job of analysing data much, much easier than ever before. Otter Academics provides a quick processor whereby individual test and question results on a spreadsheet can be uploaded to the system. Within seconds the spreadsheet will have results data and analysis added, as well as producing individual reports for each of the students.

Currently, Otter Academics is in public beta. This means it is free for anyone to join and use, and to share with colleagues and other schools. However, users must accept that there may be bugs or other errors in the system. We will do its best to rectify those bugs and other errors as soon as possible.
